⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chess Restaurant in Budapest is truly a gem! From start to finish, everything was outstanding. The mocktails were fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor — a perfect start to the evening. The service was absolutely exceptional, attentive without ever being intrusive, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. For mains, the lamb kofta was perfectly seasoned and incredibly delicious, while the Mangalica pork French rack was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and rich in flavor. To finish, the chic peanut brownie was a showstopper: indulgent, beautifully presented, and the ideal sweet ending to a wonderful meal. If you’re in Budapest and looking for a restaurant that combines creativity, top-quality ingredients, and warm hospitality, Chess is a must-visit.

We were hotel guests and had both breakfast and dinner here, each time the service surpassed the last in quality, friendliness and in how professional they were. The breakfast had a huge variety of both a buffet (warm, cold, savory, sweet, baked goods, fresh) and there was also a menu to choose specially cooked things from. Big bonus: they had decaf coffee! The dinner had a lovely atmosphere - calm and elegant. The waiter had a fun sense of humor, while being very friendly. He made suggestions that turned out to be perfect. We both had the chess burger and cocktails. It was the perfect, romantic dinner. They also spoke English, German and of course Hungarian.

Restaurant with an intimate atmosphere in the very heart of Budapest. We were with a bigger company. The serviece was excelent and the menu was fine dining with nice wine recommendations.
